About

Nutrition is the process by which the body takes in energy in the form of calories from proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, or macronutrients and other micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals.  For good health and well-being, it is essential to eat a balance of healthy foods.

Many college students suffer from inadequate nutrition due to stress, time management, funds, or other lifestyle factors. Use this page to learn about basic nutrition and the breakfast, lunch, and dinner student cookbooks to learn how to prepare simple, nutritious meals for home, school, work, or on-the-go.

The information on this page is not intended for weight loss.
