Should

• Provide individualized attention and assistance for students during class.
• Work closely with instructors and help students understand course concepts.
• Encourage student participation and enhance student engagement.
• Prepare materials for mini-lessons as determined by the instructor.
• Be available in the Writing Center for additional outside classroom support.

Should NOT

• Grade or do assignments for students. 
• Teach new concepts. 
• Enforce classroom management or discipline policies. 
• Lead the class without the instructor present.
