Use Google Search to create custom date range for historical events originally reported or published at the time in news, books, and videos.
Begin on the Google Search page, typing keywords in the searchbox.
Select News or Books or Videos.
In left column under "Any Time", select "Custom Date Range".
Enter Dates and you will see results with reports of events in the specific time period.
