Virtual Meetings and Virtual Teaching at TCC

TCC has several options for virtual meetings. Collaborate and Zoom are the most common for instruction and both are supported in BlackBoard. Skype was recently replaced with Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams is part of the Microsoft 365 family of products available in OneDrive. Teams offers workspace chat and videoconferencing, file storage, and application integration. See links below for training.

Google Meet

Google Meet is a video conference-calling platform designed to link remote groups together for real-time interaction. Best for groups of up to 10 faculty, staff, and students. Google Workspace Learning Center offers training and cheat sheets.

Sunsetting Skype/Moving to Microsoft Teams

To All Employees of Tulsa Community College:

Microsoft Skype for Business will be retired on July 31, 2021! See Microsoft’s announcement to retire Skype for Business here Skype-for-Business-online-to-be-retired-in-2021.

What does this mean for TCC?

Everyone has access to Microsoft Teams and should start using Teams now.
Microsoft Teams offers chat, video calling, document collaboration, Planner, and more.
If you don’t have Teams installed on your PC you can go here to download and install Microsoft-Teams download. Your contact lists will be copied over from Skype to Teams very soon.
