Sustainability: Student Involvement

Students are a big part of sustainability at TCC; current and recent projects include tree planting efforts, waste audits, and the monarch butterfly station upkeep.

TCC is one of only seven Tree Campus USA Schools in Oklahoma, and it is the first multi-campus college in the United States to achieve Tree Campus USA status on all campuses!

Tree Campus USA Standards

In order to be recognized as a Tree Campus USA School, a college or university must engage students, staff, and faculty in the following ways:

Have a Campus Tree Advisory Committee 

Create a Campus Tree Care Plan

Maintain a Campus Tree Program

Arbor Day Observance

Provide a Service Learning Project
