The ESL program at TCC offers English classes for beginning, intermediate, and advanced-level students. The classes emphasize the language, culture, and study skills needed to be successful in the American college classroom and beyond.

 The International Student Services / Global Learning Office is located in the Student Union Building, first floor, in rooms 126 and 128.

This is the admission and academic advisement office for students on an F-1 student visa.  This office provides a variety of support services in the areas of admissions, F-1 visa regulations advisement, academic advisement, orientation, seminars, and more.

ESL Placement Test

Any student who wishes to enroll in ESL classes for the first time must take the ESL Placement test.  The ESL Placement test measures reading, writing, listening, and speaking.  It is used to ensure that the student is enrolled in the appropriate level of the ESL class.  

An Appointment is necessary to take the test.  Call 918.595.7536 to set up an appointment with the ESL Academic Counselor.

There is no charge to take the ESL Placement test.

The test usually lasts one and a half hours. 

 The ESL Placement test is given in the Language Center - room 1521 - in the Student Union Building                        

Standardized Testing

All applicants who indicate English as a second language are required to provide evidence of proficiency in the English language before enrollment in college-level courses.

Here is a brief overview of the test scores needed for admission to TCC without taking ESL:
