Print Sources - Books This link provides samples on citing printed books.
Please note that there is a difference in how instructors require students to cite information taken from the Gale reference titles. It is best to check with your own instructor.
General guidelines:
Example of a citation from a Gale reference title:
Oktenberg, Adrian T. "Revolutionary Contradictions." Poetry for Students. Vol. 30. Detroit: Gale, 2009. 77-96. Print.
Citing Databases:
EbscoHost databases provide citation information on search result page. See sample in MagillOn Literature Plus.
Note the symbols. A mouse-over reveals a symbol for "cite this article". Select MLA format from list.
Citing Electronic Books:
Example of a citation from an online Gale reference title:
West, Ray B. Jr. "Atmosphere and Theme in Faulkner's A Rose for Emily." Short Story Criticism 42 (2001):73-75. Gale Literature
