ENGL 1113
Freshman Composition I
Composition I (commonly called Comp 1) guides students through the writing process with regular practice and analysis of effective writing. The first in a sequence of two courses, Comp 1 introduces students to academic writing, basic research, and documentation. Prerequisite: ENGL 0933 with a grade of “C” or better, or appropriate placement score.
This guide is intended to provide a wide range of library and information literacy resources that can be helpful to students taking Comp 1 at Tulsa Community College. Some of the material may not be relevant to your particular class, but hopefully, you will find useful tips and information here to support your composition coursework.
*Note to instructors: If you would like to provide a unique set of helpful pages that more directly meet the needs of students in your own section of Comp I, please email Jamie Holmes.
