Trailer

Media Literacy Week celebrates awareness and education about media and information literacy in the United States. It is presented nationally by the National Association for Media Literacy Education. Each day of the week has a different theme that, together, comprise the definition of media literacy to “access, analyze, evaluate, create and act” using all forms of media (NAMLE).
Back by popular demand will be screenings of the documentary film Trust Me about misinformation and manipulation in the media, with discussion to follow. We will once again have movie-themed candy, popcorn, and prize drawings at each screening.
Screening times will be:
Tuesday, Oct. 28, 4-6 p.m., Metro Campus in the Metro Film Room, SU Room 102
Thursday, Oct. 30, 4-6 p.m., Southeast Campus in the Auditorium, Room 910
Media Literacy Week at TCC will also feature resource tables at each campus all week and an employee lunch-n-learn at Metro campus (SU 214) on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 12pm.
This year’s event will build on the success of last year’s event, which was co-sponsored by the TCC Foundation, TCC Library, TCC Tutoring Services, TCC Department of Mass Communication and Digital Media, TCC Connection, TCC Society of Professional Journalists, and TCC Student Life.
