The position of Dean of Libraries for Tulsa Community College includes the following standard job duties:
- Serve as the chief executive officer for libraries on four campuses.
- Maintain currency and policies of the libraries in a global environment.
- Prepare annual budget and report.
- Receive and expend over library budget..
- Supervise the recruitment, selection, hiring, supervision, evaluation, and termination if necessary, of library personnel including 5 direct reports and approximately 50 indirect reports.
- Facilitate student life-long learning in the global environment.
- Support faculty scholarship and professional development.
- Develop and maintain communication with other professionals associated with the library and information field.
- Lead strategic planning for the Library and participate in strategic planning for the college.
