Part II - It gets worse

We previously posted Lindsay Ellis's video about Addison Cain here, because it is very educational on copyright and how the DMCA takedown notices can be abused on the internet. Well, there's a part two. This video touches on transformative uses, memes, and how the DMCA is censoring culture and criticism online. It's really great.

What I can say, though, is that defamation is irrelevant to copyright. Again, if copyrighted content is used to *critique* that actually weighs in favor of fair use.

Imagine if you could use copyright to shut down all criticism. This is what fair use is designed to prevent.
