@NPRItsBeenAMin good show about the census and peanut.. in Minnesota many in the latinx and Native community, encourage latinx to choose their race as Native American... And when they're asked to choose their tribe, if they do not know it, put Mexican or their nationality...

My best friend just completed the Census. She marked her race as other b/c while she’s Native American, she’s not enrolled in a tribe. Why? Because her mom was adopted out of a reservation as a small child. They’ve never been able to enroll. Does the Census care about enrollment?

Are any of my fellow Hispanic/Latinos having an identity crisis with this census? I am Puerto Rican, checked Hispanic then I have to choose a race. Options are White(European), Black(African), Indian(Native), and a random list of Asian ethnicities. I hate it here.
