Course description: An introduction to basic statistical terminology, organization of data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, review of combinations, permutations, and probability, binomial and normal distributions, hypothesis testing, and a variety of other statistical techniques.
Central Tendency is the tendency of quantitative data to cluster around some central value. Central tendency is measured statistically by mean, median, and mode.
Dispersion is how far qualitative data extends out from a point. Dispersion is measured statistically by range, variance, and standard deviation.
Course description: Application of descriptive and inferential analyses to the behavioral sciences. Topics include central tendency, standard distribution, t-tests, ANOVA, correlation, regression, SPSS and more.
