Did you know?

Decimals and fractions are used to represent the same number.  For example, 0.5 is the same number as 1/2.

Many times, if you can simply read a decimal number aloud, you can convert it to a fraction.  For example, when you read "0.3", you say "three tenths".  "Three tenths" can be written as the fraction "3/10".
